Colette got bitten by the voice-over bug when the production team needed a last-minute fill in to do a voiceover. Colette saved the day when she was thrown in the booth in the basement of Canada’s CTV network to do a promo voiceover for weekend cartoons. At that time, she was a publicist for CTV News, W5, and former national news anchors Lloyd Robertson. She says, “It
totally turned my crank realizing this was what I wanted to do.”
Performing in high school productions and community theatre, former theatre professor, Paul Eck, at Metropolitan Toronto University, said she was his best “Dulcie” ever in The Boyfriend. She has a background in national television as a lifestyle and health reporter. But would also admit she thinks she has a medical background because working closely with Toronto hospital scientists, she wrote up news releases on discoveries, new tests, and medicine attracting international news coverage which resulted in grant money over millions of dollars.
